Photos from Greece

by Amy Rae on July 2, 2010

At the risk of being that annoying relative who makes you sit through a stack of vacation photos, I’m going to make this quick.  We have, it seems, been doing an abnormal amount of traveling these days.  Things have gotten out of control, actually, and I think it’s partially a proximity issue (though generous European vacation policies help too).  If you’re American, and Italy is within reasonable driving distance (and your husband happens to have a fondness for pizza and Prosecco), you go.  And you go often.  Then your family shows up, and then just as you’re gearing up for that annual trip back to the States, BOOM.  Greece.  Where did that come from?

A trip to Santorini was, as I recall, planned back in the depths of winter when there wasn’t a ray of sun nor holiday in sight.  When the snow just would not melt, and all I could think about was skipping along Aegean shores in a white dress singing ABBA songs.  (Thanks Mom, by the way, for the white dress.)  So, here are, without further ado, some snapshots.  Hum along if you like.

Hi Amy,
Looking at your photos of Santorini make me want to go back! Mike and I spent a week there while travelling on our honeymoon. It was sooooo amazing. It sounds like life is good for you. That is great! Thank you for sharing your travels and photos.
